We want to be deeply intentional about creating a culture of congregational care and support—but we can’t do it alone. FirstCare Ministry is a dedicated group of volunteers working alongside Deacon Karen Melang to visit, care, and pray for members of our church family who are home-bound, residing in care facilities, or navigating a crisis. Our volunteers do vital work, from bringing holy communion to shut-ins and making parish visits, to providing a supportive presence during critical life incidents like hospital stays, surgeries, or the loss of a loved one. But FirstCare needs your help too. If you have a heart for connection and want to ensure that no one in our community faces a difficult season alone, please consider joining our volunteer team today. Contact Deacon Karen to learn more about this amazing ministry team and get involved!
Do you know someone from FLC who needs a visit? Please let us know!
Deacon Karen and a dedicated team of volunteers “bring” FLC to those who can’t participate. Please let us know about those hospitalized, rehabbing, in care facilities, or stuck at home, needing a friendly visit, a time of prayer, or home communion.
