A Week of Summer Settings

Join us for many different activities as we look to find God in all different summer settings.

  • Saturday, July 20 – First Lutheran Night at the Moo. First pitch is at 7:05 pm. Discounted general admission tickets and meal package tickets are available at the church until Wednesday, July 17. If you don’t purchase an early ticket, you can get your own at the gate on the 20th.
  • Sunday, July 21 – Spoudazo Home Concert.  The community is invited at 7:00 pm for the presentation of I AM by the high school music and drama group.
  • Monday, July 22 – Water Fun. Bring your kids/grandkids for some watery fun here at the church on Monday, July 22. Preschool—1st graders will get wet from 10-11 am. Kids 2nd-6th grade will have their fun from 1-3 pm. There is no charge for this event. Let Deacon Kristin (kristinj@flcfremont.org) know you are coming.
  • Tuesday, July 23 – Splash Bash.  Youth of all ages and their families are invited to Splash Station on Tuesday, July 23, from 4-7 pm. Pay your own admission and RSVP to Heidi (heidir@flcfremont.org) to have some pizza. CLICK HERE to RSVP to Heidi.

  • Thursday, July 24 – Food Truck Festival and Car Show. 5-7 pm.  Ten food trucks will be ready for you in the church parking lot.  Car owners are invited to show off their cool cars. The food trucks will donate a portion of their proceeds to the Fremont Area United Way.  Stay and eat or get your food to go. Tables will be set up outside and Fellowship Hall will be open to stay and eat.
  • Wednesday, July 31 – High School Staycation. 2-6 pm. Meet at church and car pool to a party on the lake.  All incoming 9-12th graders are invited.  Friends welcome, too. Let Deacon Kristin know that you are coming (kristinj@flcfremont.org).

Sunday Hospitality

We appreciate all our volunteers who serve communion, greet our Sunday morning guests, usher and host at the Welcome Center. Help us cover hospitality by finding a day that works into your schedule.  One signup is communion only.  The other signup is for the other pieces of hospitality.

2024 Radio and Altar Flower Sponsors

Each week our radio broadcast and altar flowers have sponsors who support these important outreach ministries of the church. Our radio broadcast reaches many people who are not able to worship with us in person. The altar flowers are delivered each week to someone needing a little cheer or celebrating a special event. You will be contacted prior to your week for payment and your special message for the announcements. Call the church office if you need help getting your days reserved.

Zero-Turn Mowers

First Lutheran needs volunteers willing and able to operate zero-turn mowers provided by the church to mow the outer field areas around the church every other week beginning April 11. This will take 1 person approximately 6 hours or 2 people 3 hours. We prefer it be done Thursday, Friday, or Saturday each week so things look nice on Sunday.

Breakfast Club Treats

Every Thursday morning, a group gathers to do some jobs around the church and spend fellowship time with coffee and treats. We are looking for people who would be willing to bring treats to serve this group. The treats need to be at the church by 9 am on Thursdays.

Athletic Shoe Recycling

FLC is partnering with a company called gotsneakers? to recycle athletic shoes. Shoes that are badly worn are shredded and the materials are incorporated into new products. Shoes with some life left in them are redistributed to markets in which they will continue to be worn. AND, the gotsneakers? company pays a small amount for shoes that are sent in, no matter how worn out they are! Proceeds will support Spoudazo.

Shoes (which must be at least 4.5 inches long) accepted are: running, walking, hiking, court shoes, cleats (rubber only), casual (such as Skechers and Vans).  Any brand is acceptable; they do not need to be name-brand shoes.  Please leave all insoles and laces intact. Bring your shoe donations to the church.

Shoes not accepted are: boots (except hiking), dress shoes, flip flops, sandals, slippers, and water shoes.
