First Monday Morning Bible Study a study group for women that meet on the First Monday of each month at 10:00am at the home of one of our FLC members. FLC women are invited to participate in this one hour study.

Chick Flicks is a group of women who meet the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm in the Youth Room to watch a movie and follow with discussion and fellowship.

WOW womens group meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 9:30am in the Heritage Room.

Faith Circle meets to fellowship, study, and grow on the second Thursday of the month at 7:00pm in the Conference Room.

WRAP is a study that meets every 2nd & 4th Monday mornings from 9:30-11:00am at the home of one of our FLC members. All are invited to WRAP yourself in God’s word.

Men’s Bible Study meets every Saturday at 8:30am in Room 122. All men are invited to join!

Fantasy Football, Faith, & Fellowship (FFFF) is a group that starts with a fantasy football league (no gambling, just fun!) in conjection with a weekly bible study. The group forms in Fall prior to the NFL football season for a Draft” to create teams. Throughout the football season, this group meets each week for “Team Huddles” (Bible Study) and discussion using football analogies to discuss faith, blessings, and life struggles.

This ministry is all about building relationships one plate at a time. Every person will get paired into small groups and will meet at least 3 times during the program year (or more!). This is a time to meet new people, create memories and have fun! Forms to create pairings come out in August/September.

Breakfast Club meets every Thursday morning at 9:00am and is usually finished by 11:00am. A group of men and women gather to do a few church chores then enjoy breakfast treats, coffee, and fellowship after. Can’t make it every week? No problem, this is a come as your schedule allows group.  

First Lutheran is blessed to provide a ministry of hospitality during the difficult time of a funeral. First Lutheran funeral teams provide lunch for those grieving families. The teams consist of workers who prepare the sandwiches, set the tables, and serve the beverages. The teams also have people who make treats and/or salads. All men and women are encouraged to be a part of this ministry. You would be called on by one of the team leaders to see if you’re available to help at that time of the funeral meal. A volunteer for the Foodie Meal Ministry makes or purchases a meal for someone in need. Once information is received from our Pastor or Deacons about an FLC member needing a boost or some TLC, we’ll ask one of our volunteer foodies to provide a meal. This can be a homemade meal of your choosing or food purchased from a local restaurant. CLICK HERE if you would like to be a part of this caring ministry.

Prayer Shawl Ministry serves as way to wrap love around someone in need of comfort and prayers. The shawls are crocheted or knitted by members and friends of First Lutheran. The shawls receive a blessing before they are sent on their way. Patterns are available for anyone who would like to help with this ministry.

Quilters meet every Wednesday at 1:00pm in the Quilting Room (RM 141). They tie and finish quilts on the third Wednesday of the month. Anyone is welcome for any length of time that they can stay and help. We are always looking for individuals who can cut, color match, tie knots, and more! Quilt squares are available at the Church Office for anyone to take home and sew together a quilt top. The quilts made are distributed through local agencies and Lutheran World Relief. This ministry welcomes donations of fabric and bed sheets to use in making the quilts.

GriefShardis a support group to help you move through the grief process. This group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. You’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.

Every congregation has individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer. Cancer creates a crisis not only for the person battling it, but the entire support group! The diagnosis is frightening and difficult. All individuals facing cancer often look for a place where they can find support and understanding needed to cope with the long term effects of cancer. We hope TLC is one of those places!

TLC meets the second Tuesday of each month from 6:30-7:30pm at FLC.

TLC is designed to provide emotional and spiritual support to all those whose lives have been touched by this disease. Facilitators are Nan Merz & Jill Norenberg.

HUGS is a fellowship and support group for sisters in christ, glorifying god in new seasons of life. For those who have experienced loss or find themselves in singleness. This group does scheduled events.
