	October Ministry Partner: Midland University Warrior Cupboard Health Cabinet In October, FLC will have the opportunity to partner with and learn more about the Midland University Warrior Cupboard’s expansion and new “Health Cabinet.” This program serves as a resource with no strings attached to help students with unexpected needs. Our donations will help students feel cared for at time when they might be especially homesick and alone. Items like Vick’s VapoRub, Kleenex (small packages), hand sanitizer, eucalyptus spray, chapstick, thermometers, and peppermints (individually wrapped) can improve a student’s outlook when under the weather. Items can be dropped off at the Church Office or at the display in Fellowship Hall. Monetary donations can also go a long way to help fill needs. 	Annual FLY Fundraiser – Rockin’ For A Reason Sunday, November 1 \| 5:30pm Grab your poodle skirts, bowling shirts, saddle shoes, and bobby socks and get ready for some fun! We’re throwing a swell night of Music Bingo to support the FLYS, and you won’t want to miss it! Enjoy an evening packed with sock-hop music, Music Bingo, a drive-in-style meal featuring Nick’s Street Eats, Tots & Root Beer Floats, and a far-out Silent Auction! Tickets can be purchased online, at the church office, or from Gina DeBoer for $15 in advance (meal, music, and bingo) or $20 at the door. It’s gonna be a real blast from the past! Come for the music, stay for the fun, and support the FLYS! Want to support the FLYS with a donation? Financial donations may be made online. 	November Mobile Banquet – November 12 The FLC Mobile Banquet will be delivering 280 meals to Linden Elementary, and LifeHouse, on Thursday, November 12, from 5:30-6:30pm. As rising food insecurity impacts more families in our community, our need for dedicated volunteers and donations has never been more urgent! To keep pace with this growing demand and ensure no one goes hungry, we rely on your support to expand our reach and deepen our impact! Please consider helping to make this possible with your donations of food items, money or time. It’s easy, sign up online or call the office to offer your help! Please have your donations to the church kitchen by NOON on Wednesday, November 11. We are collecting haircare items: Winter Gear: Coats, Hats, Mittens/Gloves, & Scarves as our extra items this month.
	GriefShare: Surviving The Holidays Tuesday, November 17 \| 3:00-4:30pm \| FLC Grieving? Know someone who is? Join Deacon Rick Strong on Tuesday, November 17 for Surviving the Holidays. When you are grieving a loved one’s death, the holiday season can be especially painful. Come and prepare for the holidays and even discover hope for the future. 	FLY Snack Donations Help Restock Our Cupboards FLC’s youth groups are back in action, and our students need nourishment as they grow—body, mind, and spirit! We nurture our students spiritually by teaching and learning through Scripture. At each youth gathering, we support their emotional growth by listening to them, encouraging them, and creating a safe place where they feel valued. Games and activities help them grow mentally, while snacks help fuel them physically! Please help us fill the youth cupboards by donating non-perishable, individually packaged snacks. Some of the items we use throughout the year include: Juice boxes, fruit snacks, pop tarts, chips, crackers, cookies, and other packaged snacks. If you’d rather provide cheese sticks, yogurts, fruit, or any perishable items, please contact Gina DeBoer to assure these items are used in a timely manner and not wasted. Many thanks for your support in helping our youth grow in many ways!
	2026 Sunday Morning Gathering & Altar Flower Sponsors Fellowship is an important part of Sunday mornings. Sharing our faith stories over coffee and donuts helps us grow as the FLC family. The Gathering sponsor helps cover the cost of the refreshments during fellowship time before and after Sunday services. The altar flowers are delivered each week to someone needing a little cheer or celebrating a special event. You will be contacted prior to your week for payment and your special message for the announcements. Call the church office if you need help getting your days reserved. You may include your payment in the offering on Sunday (be sure to designate your payment) or click “Sponsor Payment” to the left and fill out the Miscellaneous Payment section and specify your payment description.
	Youth & Childrens’ Ministries Registration 2026-27 A new (or updated) registration is required for each child each school year to participate in our Youth & Children’s programs. This assures us that we have the most updated information for your family. Sunday Small Groups (formally known as Sunday School) – 1yr Olds-6th Grade (Sundays, 9:40-10:10am) FLY 56 (5th & 6th Grade) – Wednesdays Afterschool, (3:45ish-5:00pm) WAM (K-4th Grade)- Wednesdays, 4-5pm Lutheran YES! Confirmation (7th Grade & Up)- Every Other Wednesday, 7:00-8:30pm MS FLYS (7th/8th Grade)- Every Other Wednesday, 7:00-8:30pm HS FLYS (9th-12th Grade)- Wednesdays, 7:00-9:00pm
	Lawn Mowing Enjoy the fresh air and the satisfaction of a freshly cut lawn while serving our church family by joining our mowing team! Exterior Lawn (Zero-Turn Mowers): Do you know how to operate a zero-turn mower or want to learn how? We need volunteers willing & able to operate zero-turn mowers to mow the outer field areas of the church each week. This job takes 1 person approx. 7 hours or 2 people approx. 4 hours. If you have questions, please contact Dave Poppe (402-619-7141). Click “Sign Up Now” to sign up for Zero-Turn Mowing dates. All lawn care equipment is provided! Lawn care is usually completed on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday so the church looks nice on Sundays. In addition to mowing, we also need volunteers to help edge and assist with landscape clean up as needed. If you are interested in keeping this corner of God’s creation beautiful, please call the church office.
	Breakfast Club Treats Every Thursday morning, a group gathers to do some jobs around the church and spend fellowship time with coffee and treats. We are looking for people who would be willing to bring treats to serve this group. The treats need to be at the church by 9 am on Thursdays.
