Mindy Olson has served as the Director of the First Lutheran Church Early Learning Center since September 2018. With more than 20 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and childcare leadership, Mindy is passionate about providing children with a nurturing, engaging, and faith-centered learning environment.

A lifelong resident of Fremont, Mindy has a strong commitment to serving and strengthening her hometown community. She attended Northeast Community College, where she earned an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education. During her time at Northeast, she was actively involved in student leadership, serving as Vice President of the Student Senate, President of the Early Childhood Club, and a member of the Board of Governors.

Mindy is dedicated to advancing the quality of Early Childhood education throughout the Fremont community. She founded the Fremont Childcare Directors Program, an initiative focused on supporting childcare leaders through professional development, collaboration, networking, and sharing resources. The program provides an opportunity for local childcare directors to work together to address challenges, strengthen leadership, and promote quality early childhood programs within the community.

Throughout her career, Mindy has considered it a privilege to work in Early Childhood education. She is grateful for the opportunity to lead the ELC and to work alongside dedicated teachers and staff who share a commitment to serving children and families.

Mindy considers her role at the ELC a true blessing. She is especially grateful for the opportunity to help create an environment where children are encouraged to learn and grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Most importantly, she values the privilege of helping children develop and strengthen their faith and relationship with God.

Outside of her professional role, Mindy is a proud mother. Her son, Landon, is a graduate of Northeast Community College, where he earned an Associate of Arts degree in Electrical Construction and Control.

Mindy is honored to serve the children and families of the Early Learning Center and looks forward to continuing to support the ELC’s mission of providing Christ-centered care and education to the Fremont community.
