Bible Studies

First Lutheran women plan and host a variety of activities that underscores our mission to “raise up disciples and transform lives.” There are a variety of Bible studies, fellowship events, mission drives, along with retreats and conferences that are held throughout the year.

Several Women Bible Study Groups meet each month. New faces are always welcome.

Women of the Word (WOW) meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 9:30 am at the church.
Faith Study Group meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm at the church.

Quilt Ministry

Meets to tie and finish quilts the third Wednesday of the month. Precut squares are available for anyone who would like to sew a top together. The quilts made are distributed through local agencies and Lutheran World Relief.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Serves as way to wrap love around someone in need of comfort and prayers. The shawls are crocheted or knitted by members and friends of First Lutheran. The shawls receive a blessing before they are sent on their way. Patterns are available for anyone who would like to help with this ministry.

Breakfast Club

Every Thursday morning a group of men and women gather to do a few church chores.  They enjoy a few breakfast treats and fellowship after.  The schedule is a come-if-you-can as it works for your schedules.  They meet at 9 am and are usually finished by 11 am.

Chick Flicks

All women are invited to the Youth Room on the first Tuesday of the month to watch a movie and spend time after it is over in fellowship and discussion. You are welcome to bring treats to eat and/or share.

Please contact Tami Hall (tamih@flcfremont.org) or call the church office (402-721-2959) if you would like more information on any of these groups.
