Amy Brandert Spies
Director of Worship Arts
Amy Brandert Spies, a native of Fremont, NE, has served in Ministry at First Lutheran since 1998. She currently serves as the Director of Worship Arts. As part of her ministry, Amy serves as the primary musician for Worship services, directs several vocal and instrumental groups grades K- Adult, and oversees the worship life of the congregation.
Amy also taught vocal and instrumental music and drama in Fremont Parochial and Public Schools from 1995-2008. Her community activities include: Recipient of the Pathfinder “Friend of Music” Award, 4 years of service on the John C. Fremont Days Board of Directors; Performs with Bob Yanike’s Broad Street Revue; and is a Past President of the Fremont Midland Entertainment Series Board of Directors.
Amy is the proud pet mama of 2 cats, a dog, and a cockatiel.
Amy believes that worship should help people experience the presence of God so they can live a lifestyle of worship and experience moments of worship throughout the week.
